Found in areas of India, and South-East Asia, the Chinese Serissa is known worldwide for its beauty. Called a variety of names, it is sometimes referred to as the Snow Rose, and other times as the Tree of a Thousand Stars. This is owing to the tiny and few in quantity, yet gorgeous pearl-white flowers it produces 2-3 times a year. As is the case with each plant, emergence of flowers and the moment is livened up. The Chinese Serissa achieves just that with the flowers it comes bearing.

Apart from the flowers, the leaves of this plant are no less in enhancing its beauty. This evergreen shrub has miniature leaves. Glossy green throughout the year, the oval-shaped leaves stun all those who set eyes on it. However, its strong bark takes the cake, with its rough nature. The gnarling bark ensures the Serissa to make for a great Bonsai tree.

With beauty comes maintenance, and this Bonsai is one to demand care. It does not respond nicely to frost, and neither does it prefer immensely warm climates. As a proper indoor plant, it requires moderate weather, and of course to be well-hydrated. Remember to water it appropriately; greater access to sunlight means the need for greater quantities of water.

Place the Chinese Serissa at your main entrance door. Or make a separate corner for it, decorated with some fairy lights to exhibit it in all its glory. Wherever you end up locating it, rest assured for it is sure to become the center of attention.
