Perhaps one of the most beautiful Bonsai trees one could opt for, the Bottle Brush is a major head-turner. Whether you opt for a moderately sized tree, or a shrub of the same category, Bottle Brush stuns with its beautiful bark, and radiant pops of color.

The Bottle Brush is well suited to warm climates, and can grow as high as 3 to 10 feet when given access to adequate sunlight. Some may even attain a height of 15 feet – towering above with a beautiful glare. It constantly requires moisture, thus tending to the hydration needs of the plant is a must when purchasing it. The soil shouldn’t become completely dry at any time, whilst in winters and dry weather, extra care to provide moisture must be taken.

However, all of this care seems a minor feat when the Bottle Brush grows into the charming tree it is. It has bright red flowers, which are elegant as well as fragrant. They are shaped as a bottlebrush – thereby hinting upon their name. Owing to their attractive nature, these flowers are often observed with hummingbirds nearby, as they call onto them with their gorgeous petals, and bold and jolly color.

The bark of this tree is no less of a wonder. Being sturdy and completely dark green, it is a true representative of nature’s gifts. Whilst containing grooves in itself, the bark is able to differentiate itself from other types of Bonsai.

The elegance of the flowers, and beauty of the bark, make the Bottle Brush a rather slow-growing shrub. However, it is said that ‘good things come to those who wait’, and this Bonsai proves that.
